Hyundai Sonata Oil Reset Guide
The Hyundai Sonata (Korean: 현대 쏘나타) is a mid-size car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 1985. The first generation Sonata was introduced in 1985, which was a facelifted Stellar with an engine upgrade, and was withdrawn from the market in two years due to poor customer reactions. While the original was only sold in South Korea, with limited exports to Canada and New Zealand,the second generation of 1988 was widely exported.
2011-2016
1.Start the engine.
2. If a service is due the display will show "Service required". To reset this message, locate and press the OK button located at the top right of the steering wheel for more than 1 second.
3. The service interval will be reset to the default setting.
*The service interval feature has to be turned on and set by the user by accessing the INFORMATION menu. Press the MODE button (rectangle icons) on the top right of the steering wheel to highlight the INFORMATION menu. Press the OK button to access the menu and use the directional keypad to turn the SERVICE INTERVAL mode on and set the applicable interval.
4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
